System73 powers the global launch of TableTennis.TV with intelligent content delivery

In 2025, Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) launched TableTennis.TV to bring live and on-demand matches and exclusive content to fans worldwide, many of whom would tune in from regions with highly variable network conditions. As a new digital rights holder introducing a streaming service, MLTT sought a delivery strategy that could guarantee reliable performance while keeping operational costs under control. To meet these demands, MLTT partnered with System73, deploying our Data Logistics Platform and intelligent content delivery solutions to support TableTennis.TV’s global launch.

The challenge:
Launching a global streaming platform from day one

nlike established services, early-stage platforms must absorb high infrastructure costs before scaling enough to enjoy profits, all while trying to deliver a premium viewing experience that encourages audience growth and retention. Any instability, buffering, or unexpected costs during this phase risked undermining the platform’s long-term viability

For MLTT, the challenge included:

Delivering consistent playback quality across international markets

Handling unpredictable spikes in live viewership during matches

Avoiding excessive dependence on traditional CDNs during peak traffic

Maintaining clear visibility into delivery performance and costs

Staying within strict launch- stage budget constraints

The solution:
Intelligent delivery with Edge Intelligence and Edge Analytics

To support the global launch of TableTennis.TV, we deployed Edge Analytics and Edge Intelligence, our AI-driven delivery optimization solutions that dynamically adapt to real-time network conditions. Edge Analytics feeds Edge Intelligence with information for real-time decisioning, offering full visibility into

Bitrate distribution across devices and regions

Traffic offload levels between CDN and peer-to-peer delivery

Real-world quality
 of experience (QoE) metrics

Both work together to continuously evaluate congestion, capacity, and routing efficiency, automatically shifting traffic to maintain stable streams even as audience sizes fluctuate. As a result, a significant portion of streaming traffic is offloaded onto centrally orchestrated peer-to-peer delivery networks,

reducing reliance on traditional CDN bandwidth.

Early results demonstrate measurable gains

From the first live events streamed on TableTennis.TV, our delivery model demonstrated clear operational benefits

50–70% of streaming traffic offloaded onto centrally orchestrated peer-to-peer networks using Edge Intelligence

More than 90% of viewers received their maximum supported bitrate

Buffering incidents decreased, with playback remaining more consistent across regions

CDN reliance during peak periods was significantly reduced, improving resilience

Despite the platform’s first ingress overage, egress costs remained flat, providing cost predictability during audience growth

Building a foundation for sustainable growth

As TableTennis.TV continues to expand its global audience, System73 is committed to providing a scalable and resilient system that will grow alongside the platform. MLTT is now able to focus on audience development, content strategy and long-term monetization without compromising quality or budget discipline.

Major League Table Tennis is the first professional table tennis league in the United States, bringing world-class players and fast-paced competition to fans across North America and beyond. MLTT is committed to elevating the sport and expanding its digital footprint through the launch of TableTennis.TV, a dedicated streaming platform designed to make elite table tennis more accessible to a global audience.
